Every Child Needs a Voice

Even the healthy children who have grown up in their own families. That is part of our job as a parent, as an adult, is to help the children in our lives to grow into strong, independent adults that know who they are. It is our job to help them to find their voices. And for those that don't have a voice, it's our job to be those voices. This part of my blog will be dedicated to do that for the waiting children in China. As an adoptive parent, and hopefully, as a human, every face and every story that you see and read will likely have an affect on you. But every once in a while, there is a face that sticks and that pierces your heart. I believe those faces are the ones that are given to us to specifically provide a voice for. Please help me share these stories and hopefully, through our voices, families will find their children!

Gabe

Update Jan 23, 2016: Still Waiting

There are sometimes that I seriously wish that I had an unlimited amount of resources and sanity because I would have a house FULL. And this little one would be one of them. Please help me spread the word about this doll baby!

This little guy has waited too long to be chosen! Gabe has been found on several agency lists and I'm hoping his family will finally see him! Just look at these sweet, kissable cheeks! Gabe was born January 2014 and has been diagnosed with Phenylketonuria (PKU) which is treated with a special diet. He participates in an Infant and Child Parenting Program through Half The Sky Foundation and receives individual training and exercises through them. Overall it sounds like his institute is managing his care and PKU very well, but nothing compares to a forever Mommy's arms.

Please, please please visit htttp://waitingchildinfo.com/2014/01/01/gabe/ to see more information and lots of history about Gabe.

There is a $2,500 grant available towards his adoption fees!!!
